Every day, the Intensive Care Department of Children’s City Clinical Hospital No. 3 saves children in the most critical conditions. Until recently, however, the department did not have a device to help maintain the body temperature of its young patients.
Instead of the specialised equipment used in hospitals abroad, our doctors had to rely on ordinary household heaters and place bottles of warm water around the children.
In response to the hospital’s request, we purchased a modern Bair Hugger warming system and a set of thermal mattresses and blankets with a total value of UAH 111,137.
Children can now receive stable thermal support during operations and while receiving intensive care.
This modern warming system from a leading American manufacturer maintains an optimal body temperature during operations and intensive care, reducing risks and giving children a better chance of recovery.
